How to use Pager

A 5-minute walkthrough of the inbox. Keep this page bookmarked — you can come back any time.

1

Where leads come from

Anyone who fills out the contact form on miamiprivateinvestigations.com becomes a lead in this inbox automatically. Their first message arrives as both an SMS to the work phone and a row in the inbox here.

You don't have to do anything to import them — it just happens.

2

Reading the inbox

Open the inbox and you'll see every conversation in the left column, newest at the top. Each row shows the lead's name (or phone number), a preview of the last message, and a status pill:

  • 🟢 New — fresh lead, you haven't replied yet
  • 🟡 In progress — you're talking with them
  • Won — they hired us
  • Lost — they went silent or said no
3

The AI Lead Brief

Click any conversation. At the top you'll see an AI Lead Brief — a one-line summary of what the lead is asking about, their urgency, and the sentiment.

Use it to triage 20 leads in 30 seconds without reading every message word-for-word.

4

Replying with the AI draft

Below each incoming message, Pager shows a suggested reply written by Claude. It's already in the lead's language (Spanish if they wrote in Spanish, English otherwise) and tuned to MPI's professional tone.

Three options:

  • ✓ Send as-is — click Send or hit ⌘ Enter
  • ✏️ Edit it first — type over the draft, then send
  • 🗑️ Ignore it — write your own message from scratch
5

Marking lead status

Click the colored status pill at the top of any conversation to change it. Move new leads to "In progress" once you've replied, then "Won" or "Lost" when the case closes. The dashboard tracks your conversion rate from these.

6

Private notes

Open the right panel of any conversation to add a private note. Things like:

  • • "Husband suspected — referral from Maria's case"
  • • "Quoted $2,500 retainer, awaiting decision"
  • • "Follow up Tuesday if no reply"

Notes are visible only to staff. The lead never sees them.

7

Stale-lead detector

If a lead goes quiet for 3+ days, Pager flags the conversation and offers a one-click AI follow-up message. Useful for nudging "thinking about it" leads back into the pipeline.

8

Notifications and sound

In the inbox header, click the 🔔 icon to enable browser notifications, and the 🔊 icon for sound. New leads will pop up with a chime even when the tab isn't focused.

You'll have to allow notifications in your browser the first time — your browser will ask permission.

9

Keyboard shortcuts

Press ? anywhere in the inbox to see all shortcuts. Quick ones:

  • ⌘ K — Search / command palette
  • ⌘ Enter — Send the current message
  • Esc — Close any modal
10

On your phone

Pager works in any mobile browser. For a more app-like feel:

  • iPhone: Safari → Share → "Add to Home Screen"
  • Android: Chrome → ⋮ → "Install app"

It opens like a native app and can show notifications when closed.
